Skin cancer
Do you remember when and what kind of moles were appeared on your skin? What did each mole look line six months ago? Year ago? Three? Five? You may to ask, why do I need to remember it?

One of the most serious type of skin cancer is MELANOMA!
Melanoma is a form of skin cancer that begins in the cells (melanocytes) that control the pigment that gives your skin its color. This illustration shows melanoma cells extending from the surface of the skin into the deeper skin layers. A malignant mole may appear anywhere, for example, on the back, scalp or feet, and even under the nails. For this reason, sometimes it’s not so easy to notice and observe it by yourself.
The main danger of melanoma is that at the first stage it hardly exhibits any symptoms: it does not itch, hurt, or bleed. However, even in this period, it is suitable to metastases, that move to other organs via the lymph and blood and form secondary tumor cells in them. Other types of skin cancer include basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma.
Effective diagnosis and early detection is the only way to get treatment and stop cancer!
Skin cancer is treatable if detected at an early stage. Having diagnosed malignant tumors in time, it is possible to surgically remove them at the early stages and have almost completely cured them. That is why the task of modern dermatology is to detect suspicious tumors in time and to monitor their evolution. That’s why we need to have TBD passport.
Statistics on skin cancer and melanoma
Every year the number of patients with melanoma and other types of skin cancer is growing worldwide. Malignant skin tumors rank third in the overall structure of oncological diseases, behind breast cancer and lung cancer.
- In Ukraine, the rate of melanoma is 5.2 per 100 000 people, and the mortality rate is 1.4 per 100 000 people.
- The incidence of melanoma has been increasing over the past 40 years, but mortality has been stabilizing, except for older men.
- The exact cause of all melanomas isn't clear, but exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sunlight or tanning lamps and beds increases your risk of developing melanoma.
- Limiting your exposure to UV radiation can help reduce your risk of melanoma.
Melanoma rate (per 100 000 people)
- Mediterranean countries
- Northern countries
- Australia and New Zealand
- Ukraine

Dermoscopy is a sole way diagnosis of malignant tumors for today, a method that allows you to identify suspicious tumors by visual signals that can be seen with a dermatoscope.
Your TBD Passport is an effective method of skin cancer prevention and confidence in the future.

Why is FotoFinder ATBM master diagnostics so unique and necessary?
During an examination of a patient with many moles, no doctor is physically able to memorize each of them, much less notice whether any changes have occurred or new ones have appeared.
That is why the dermatologist and the patient have to work together to examine them and spend a lot of time on the examination. To speed up this process and get a complete picture of the changes that are happening on the skin, modern technologies and equipment FotoFinder ATBM master are used. With this technology you will have your TBD passport in the shortest time.
How is the TBD passport created?
The TBD passport does not require any special preparation from the patient. From start to finish, the whole procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes (including 4 minutes for body scanning, the rest for communication and diagnosis).

First, the FotoFinder ATBM master automatically takes a series of high-quality images. For this task, the patient is photographed in several standard body positions, which allows the machine to scan about 95% of the skin surface. If necessary, the doctor can take a few additional photos manually. This is done in areas that are covered by large skin tissue layers, such as under the mammary glands or between the buttocks.
After that, the machine automatically analyzes all the received images and, based on three main parameters (size, shape, color), tells the specialist which elements to pay special attention to. The system automatically marks and displays "suspicious" images on the monitor screen. These moles are photographed again, but this time with the help of a more powerful electronic dermatoscope MediCam 1000. This device allows you to get bright and contrasty photos with a magnification of up to 400 times in Full HD quality. During repeated visits, all photos are automatically compared and provide information to the doctor about changes in the size of lesions, the appearance of new ones or their unchanging status.
All received images are documented and form a ТBD passport, which the patient may receive by mail and use in clinics throughout the country, depending on the place of residence.

Indications for Digital Monitoring
Everyone, both adults and children, needs a TBD passport, but there are some categories of people for whom the procedure can be life-saving. There are the following indications for annual skin mapping:
- Phototype I-II by Fitzpatrick (light hair and eyes, a large number of freckles);
- genetic factor (melanoma or other malignant skin lesions diagnosed in parents);
- dysplastic nevi syndrome;
- long and prolonged exposure to UV rays of both natural and artificial origin - regular visits to tanning beds;
- previous history of melanoma.
Attention! You need to see a dermatologist immediately!
- in case of new moles that quickly change their parameters or start to get itchy, change color and area, have puffiness, are bleeding, give a feeling of a foreign body have a previous history of melanoma.
An indication for regular examination is the existence of a large number of moles and other skin lesions, as well as pigment spots of unknown etiology.
In the case of dysplastic naevus, as well as for patients with melanocytic naevus syndrome, doctors suggest updating the TBD passport with FotoFinder every 6 months.
This allows the doctor to react in time to the smallest changes and take the necessary measures.
